An information meeting for parents was held within the scope of the Young Route Working Group.
The latest meeting of the Young Route Working Group, established in collaboration between the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YTSO) and the Yalova Entrepreneurial Women's Association to support the development of vocational high schools, increase their enrollment rates, and strengthen the direct participation of graduating young people in the workforce, was held under the moderation of Derya Aytunç.
During the meeting, parents of 8th-grade students from Saffet Çam Middle School, Kardelen Middle School, and Elmalık Salim Delen Middle School were given comprehensive information about the importance of vocational education, the career opportunities it offers, and the strong collaborations established with the sector.
The program began with an opening speech by Oya Akbulut, President of the Yalova Entrepreneurial Women's Association. Following this, Kazım Demirtaş from Okaytaş Mining, Nuriye Özkanoğlu from Özkanoğlu Machinery, Anıl Tütüncü, Human Resources Manager of Cemre Shipyard, Ecem Baydur from Aksa Acrylic Chemical Industry, and Certified Public Accountant Aynur Yezer shared their sector experiences, highlighting the career opportunities offered to young people graduating from vocational high schools in the fields of production, industry, and finance.
During the meeting, the administrators and teachers of Adnan Menderes Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School also gave a presentation introducing the school's departments, technical infrastructure, practical training opportunities, and sector collaborations.
Ersin Korkut, representing the National Education Directorate, answered questions from parents and provided information on the selection process, the advantages of vocational education, and the processes by which students participate in the workforce.
The meeting, held in a collaborative atmosphere, was considered an important step in increasing awareness of vocational education and guiding young people towards qualified employment.
