“Investment Opportunities in Bulgaria” Meeting Held

Bulgarian Consulate Trade Attaché Lyubomir Lyubenov visited Cemil Demiryürek, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YTSO), at his office prior to the “Investment Opportunities in Bulgaria” meeting held at the YTSO. During the visit, assessments were made regarding increasing commercial cooperation between the two countries, developing the investment environment, and strengthening mutual business connections.

Following the visit, YTSO Chairman Cemil Demiryürek delivered the opening speech at the meeting, emphasizing that Bulgaria is a strategic gateway to the EU market for Turkish investors. In his speech, Demiryürek stated that Yalova has a strong production infrastructure in the machinery, chemical, floriculture, and shipbuilding sectors, and that the export-oriented industrial structure, which benefits from the logistical advantages offered by the Marmara basin, is growing steadily. Reminding that the city is home to a significant population with deep-rooted family ties to the Balkan geography, Demiryürek stated that this sociological structure provides serious advantages in terms of speed, trust, and harmony in commercial relations with Bulgaria.

Demiryürek stated that Bulgaria's EU membership provides access to the common market and that state incentives, low investment costs, and an accessible legal and commercial system create an attractive investment environment for Turkish investors. Speaking at the event, Lyubomir Lyubenov, Commercial Attaché at the Bulgarian Consulate in Bursa, provided information on investment processes in Bulgaria, state incentives, access to financing, and the support offered to investors by the Bulgarian Investment Agency. The meeting concluded with a Q&A session for participants.
