Today, we remember with mercy, gratitude and longing the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who showed the whole world that a country can be transformed into a modern and exemplary republic while preserving its honor and dignity, and who wrote this in golden letters in history, on the 85th anniversary of his passing to eternal life.

As the cherished and indomitable guardians of our Republic, which he entrusted to us and which is 100 years old this year, we are determined to keep alive the legacy left to us by Atatürk, to walk on the path he showed and to carry our Republic even further. By preserving these values that he left to us, we will continue to work for a stronger and brighter Turkey in unity and solidarity.

On the 85th anniversary of the passing away of the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, I commemorate him with respect, mercy and gratitude, and wish God's mercy to all our heroes who were martyred for our comrades and our country.
