Products from Yalova Women's Cooperatives Gain a Sales Point at Yenikapı İDO Terminal, Led by Our Chamber
The opening ceremony of a store selling products produced by women's cooperatives from Yalova was held at the Istanbul Sea Buses (İDO) Yenikapı Terminal.
The opening program was attended by: Yalova Governor Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Usta, Fatih District Governor Cafer Sarılı, İDO General Manager Dr. Murat Orhan, İDO External Relations Officer Seyfettin Yabalak, YTSO Board Chairman Cemil Demiryürek, Yalova Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa İlmeç, Yalova Provincial Director of Trade Alpaslan Tunalı, YTSO Women Entrepreneurs Board President Hayrete Yenikan, Yalova Entrepreneurial Women's Association (YAGİKAD) President Nuriye Özkanoğlu, Marcel Aronia Medicinal Aromatic Plants Women's Entrepreneurship Production and Business Cooperative President Dilek Doğan, and representatives of women's cooperatives.
With the opening of this sales point, aronia products, Yalova honey, and many other regionally valuable products produced by women from Yalova will have the opportunity to reach consumers at Yenikapı Terminal, one of Turkey's busiest transportation hubs.
Speaking at the opening, YTSO (Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry) Chairman Cemil Demiryürek stated that women's cooperatives make significant contributions to production, employment, and local development, emphasizing the importance of women entrepreneurs' products reaching wider markets. Demiryürek stressed that this store will contribute to the promotion of Yalova's regional and value-added products, and will also support women producers in taking a stronger position in economic life.
The sales point, expected to make a significant contribution to the promotion of Yalova's agricultural and regional products, aims to support sustainable production by increasing the marketing opportunities of women's cooperatives. The opening program concluded after a tour of the store and an examination of the products.
