Project Training for Public Institutions Held at YTSO

Within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YTSO) and Yalova University, "Project Training for Public Institutions" was organized in collaboration with the Yalova University Continuing Education Center (YÜSEM) and YTSO Academy.

The training, held on October 13, 2025, at the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry service building, was taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülgönül Bozoğlu Batı.

The training covered the following topics:

• Fundamentals of project management and the project life cycle,
• Project planning methods and tools in public institutions,
• Risk and change management in projects,
• Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting,
• Case studies and applications.

Representatives from the Yalova Customs Directorate, the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, the 112 Emergency Call Center, the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, the Yalova Provincial Gendarmerie Command, the Coast Guard, KOSGEB, the Social Security Institution, Türksat, the Family and Social Services Directorate, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, the Yalova Social Solidarity Center, the Yalova Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, the Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology, and the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management attended the program, which was organized to increase the project-based thinking capacity of public institutions, strengthen implementation processes, and develop an institutional project culture.

YTSO Academy Board Chairman Köksal Ketenci commented on the training, saying, “We believe it is extremely important to promote a project-based thinking culture in public institutions. In this context, we aim to continue to increase the training we provide in collaboration with the Yalova University Continuing Education Center (YÜSEM) in the coming period.”
