Support from YTSO to the “Half of It is on Us” Signature Campaign
Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YTSO) supported the signature campaign initiated by Yalova Municipality in order to implement the “Half of It is on Us” campaign, which was implemented in Istanbul by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and has had a great impact on the public, in Yalova.
YTSO Board Chairman Cemil Demiryürek, Board Member and also City Council President Kenan Engin and YTSO Academy President Council Member Köksal Ketenci attended the signature ceremony organized within the scope of the campaign and shared YTSO’s support for the process with the public.
President Cemil Demiryürek said in his statement, “We live in a region with a high earthquake risk. The implementation of the ‘Half of It is on Us’ campaign implemented in Istanbul in Yalova is an extremely vital step in terms of life and property safety.
As YTSO, we strongly support this signature campaign initiated under the leadership of Yalova Municipality and with the contributions of our professional chambers and civil society organizations. On this occasion, we would like to thank our Yalova Mayor Mehmet Gürel for initiating and leading the process.
We invite all our members, business people and fellow citizens to support this campaign by signing it.”
The campaign aims to provide grants and appropriate credit support to citizens in the urban transformation process. The project aims to renew the risky building stock in Yalova and create safer and more modern living spaces.
YTSO emphasized that it will continue to play an active role in all efforts carried out for an earthquake-resistant Yalova.
