We got the Zero Waste Certificate

YTSO received Zero Waste Certificate from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization with its Zero Waste Management System.


As a result of the works carried out by our Chamber in order to carry out waste management in an effective and efficient manner, to inform our members and to raise awareness, we became the institution that has the "Zero Waste Certificate" from the Environment and Urbanization Directorate.

Tahsin Becan, Chairman of the Board of Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “We will continue to improve our efforts to use resources efficiently and to collect and recycle the wastes generated, with our responsibility towards all living things and nature in order to protect the ecological balance. With the effect of urbanization and industrialization, as a result of excessive consumption, resources are used unconsciously and too much waste is generated due to excessive consumption. The increasing waste problem; It negatively affects the society, family and individual. We, as Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aim to protect nature and people by separating our wastes and contributing to recovery and transformation with the Zero Waste Management System we have established to minimize environmental damage.”

Yalova Environment and Urbanization Provincial Director Ümit Yılmaz presented the Zero Waste Certificate to Tahsin Becan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and said, “Zero Waste; It is a target defined as a waste management philosophy that includes prevention of waste, reduction of waste and recycling of waste. We are spreading the zero waste approach of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization to the institutions in order to control our waste within the framework of sustainable development principles and to leave a clean and developed Turkey and a livable world to future generations. In this direction, I congratulate the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which established the Zero Waste Management System in its new service buildings and was awarded the certificate.”
