The Future of the Ornamental Plants Sector in Yalova Will Be Discussed
The "New Generation Vision Forum 2050 in Landscape and Ornamental Plants," organized under the coordination of Yalova University, aims to bring together important stakeholders with the new generation to shape the future of the sector. Planned based on Yalova's strategic position in ornamental plant production in Turkey, the forum aims to bring together second and third-generation representatives of the sector, public institutions, academia, and all relevant stakeholders on the same platform.

The forum will address current problems, areas for development, and the expectations of the new generation in the sector through panels, workshops, and open forum sessions. At the end of the process, in which participants will actively contribute, a comprehensive final report will be prepared based on the opinions and suggestions obtained.

The report is planned to include innovative and strategic recommendations for the sector, in addition to topics such as production, quality, export, and digitalization. In this context, it is envisioned that the report will also include proposals for the establishment of a Faculty of Agricultural Technologies within Yalova University, encompassing disciplines such as "Agricultural Industry Engineering," covering digital agriculture, robotic applications, and data-driven production approaches.
The aim is to submit this report to relevant public institutions, primarily the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, to contribute to the development of sectoral policies and strategies.
