YTSO – Yalova University Collaboration Continues to Strengthen

A meeting was held between the Department of Business Administration at Yalova University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YTSO) Academy Board, addressing three important topics aimed at strengthening university-industry collaboration.

Firstly, the successful completion of the Sectoral Specialization Course, conducted in collaboration between the Yalova University Department of Business Administration and the YTSO Academy Board, was evaluated. As part of the course, 10 YTSO members from different sectors met with 4th-year students from both Turkish and English programs, sharing their sectoral experiences and contributing to students' career planning through presentations. In this context, the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Selami Özcan, and faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinem Ateş and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülgönül Bozoğlu Batı visited YTSO Chairman Cemil Demiryürek and YTSO Academy Board Chairman Köksal Ketenci to express their gratitude.

The second agenda item addressed the process of connecting Business Administration students who meet the success criteria for the 2025-2026 Spring Semester with businesses as part of the Applied Training Course. Within this framework, the goal was to provide students with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in the field, strengthen cooperation between the university and businesses, and contribute qualified human resources to the regional economy. YTSO stated its readiness to support the active participation of businesses in the region in the program.

The third agenda item of the meeting evaluated the matching of students with companies within the scope of the Directed Research course. This model aims to enable students to contribute both academically and sectorally by conducting research and analysis on the real needs of businesses.

YTSO and Yalova University Business Administration Department emphasized their commitment to continuing their efforts to strengthen university-industry cooperation and better prepare young people for the business world through joint projects and applications in the coming period.
